Melissa Anderson
One of the most celebrated female wrestlers in the world, Melissa Anderson aka Cheerleader Melissa has wrestled all over the world from the US to Europe to Japan. This second generation star is perhaps best known, however, for her work in TNA Wrestling as Raisha Saeed and Alissa Flash. Debuting in January 2008, Saeed guided the almighty Awesome Kong to two reigns as TNA Knockouts Champion. In 2009, she launched another gimmick, ‘The Future Legend’ Alissa Flash, competing in one of the most talked about matches of the year against Sarita on TNA Impact.
As well as national television, Melissa is one of the star attractions of ChickFight: Female Fighting based in San Francisco, winning both the ChickFight V and ChickFight VII tournaments. Additionally, she has been a mainstay in SHIMMER Women Athletes since inception, headlining several of the DVD volumes. Melissa can also be seen in NCW Femmes Fatales.
Among her accolades, Melissa was awarded the Future Legend Award by the Cauliflower Alley Club, ranked #12 on the PWI Female 50 2009 and most recently, became the first ever female to hold the RCW Championship.
In 2011, Melissa was handpicked by Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman Billy Corgan to star in the band’s music video for ‘Owata’.
